Library lockers – read all about them
We’re making your library even more accessible
The Lights is home to a one-of-a-kind locker system that helps bring the City of PAE libraries into the Lightsview. For a community caught midway between other libraries in the City of PAE area The ‘Library at The Lights’ will enable this community better access their local public libraries.
“There are 18 lockers available for people to be able to pick up their items with the lockers also including a returns chute”, explains Amy Kosandiak, Community Outreach Library Officer. “People will be able to view our collections online, put a hold on an item and request pickup from The Lights. The item will then get delivered to the lockers and we will send out a notification the item can be collected any time during The Lights opening hours.”
“We are hoping it will reach out to people who think that libraries are not relevant to them”, says Benita Parsons, Team Leader for PAE Libraries Events and Marketing. “It’s a way to open up and discover the huge range of things they can access with their library card”.
Check it out for yourself, head to the PAE Libraries collection and have it sent to The Lights for pick up. Joining the library is free, just click here to sign up for digital collections.
